High Blood Pressure Medicine
There are a
great many types of High Blood Pressure
Medicine in the market that
are in use by Medical and Healthcare
Professionals today. A single drug treatment
may be able to cope and contain mild
occurrences of
High Blood Pressure. More
severe Hypertension requires a combination
of two or more drugs.
As has been stated before, the ideal
scenario is a combination of non drug
related therapies (increased exercise etc)
with the appropriate medications and so it
would seem that even if you have been
diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and have
been given these drug therapies to try and
control it, it would seem logical would it
not to try and effect as many lifestyle
changes as you can to try and mitigate the
more adverse side effects of High Blood
Pressure Medicine?

The positive results of drugs trials have
been well documented many times over the
years and perhaps it is best to look at the
results of three of those trials that were
carried out well over 30 years ago.
Just how valuable is High Blood Pressure
Medicine?
It is best to note under a fairly major
caveat that under today’s carefully
monitored climate if drugs trials that it
would not be ethical to allowed some of the
patients in trials like these not to have
any forms of medication at all or to go
untreated just for research purposes.
Thankfully in a lot of cases Technology has
advanced sufficiently enough to make a great
many tests upon humans very much redundant,
and soon, tests carried out on animals will
go the same way:
• A group of seventy men who had diastolic
blood readings ranging from 155 to 129mm Hg
were left untreated. Of this number, four
died of cardiovascular disease and twenty
three had serious complications from
hypertension.
• A group of seventy-three men with the same
diastolic pressure readings were treated
with medication; none died of cardiovascular
disease, and only two had serious
complications.
• In a study of men with diastolic blood
pressure readings ranging from 90 to 114 mm
Hg, nineteen who were left untreated died of
cardiovascular disease; fifty-seven had
complications. In the treated group only
eight died of cardiovascular disease and
fourteen had complications.
How valuable is medicine for High Blood
Pressure? Well as someone who is undergoing
treatment and taking a form of High Blood
Pressure Medicine, I would say that it is
pretty invaluable and very much a life
saver. The types of High Blood Pressure
Medicine will be described elsewhere.
