High Blood Pressure Remedy
High Blood
Pressure Remedy? Is there such a thing as a
Remedy for High Blood
Pressure? Again much like the perpetual
search for ideal and perfect High Blood
Pressure Diet, the search for alternative
remedies (i.e. other remedies rather than
conventional medicine) for High Blood
Pressure continues and actually has been
seen to become more popular in recent years.
Perhaps it is people becoming rather cynical
with the Medical world and Pharmaceutical
Companies launching one wonder drug after
another only to announce 10 to 15 years
after its launch that they missed or ignored
certain warning signals in the trials, and
that now there is major health problem that
they hadn’t figured on. |

The
conventional line of thinking here is that
at least with natural remedies there
shouldn’t be that serious a side effect if
any at all.
Alongside Acupuncture (covered elsewhere on
this site) other natural remedies for High
Blood Pressure include amongst others,
Ayurveda.
Ayurveda, India’s natural system of medicine
has been practiced for over 5,000 years.
Ayurvedic theory begins with assumption that
all disease begins with an imbalance or
stress. The logical step forward in this
line of thinking is to concentrate on more
lifestyle changes that would have more of a
holistic approach to High Blood Pressure.
Research is ongoing and is focused mainly on
the physiological effects of meditative
techniques and yoga postures. Studies have
been published that have documented
reductions in cardiovascular disease risk
factors, including blood pressure,
cholesterol and a reaction to stress in
individuals who practice Ayurvedic methods.
There are other alternative / complimentary
systems of Healthcare practiced worldwide
and one of the common themes running
throughout most non western based therapies
is the whole concept of the mind / body
connection.
As well as Ayurveda there are a wide variety
of Homeopathic medicines made form naturally
occurring plant, animal or mineral
substances. At present there are very few if
any documented studies highlighting any real
success on High Blood Pressure through
primarily homeopathic methods.
Alongside Homeopathy there is Naturopathy.
Naturopathy was founded as a formal
healthcare system about 100 years ago and
naturopathic medicine integrates traditional
natural therapies, including botanical
medicine, clinical nutrition, homeopathy,
acupuncture, traditional Oriental medicine,
hydrotherapy and manipulative therapy.
